Our project focuses on investigating the elusive small carnivore community of the Tinjure-Milke-Jaljale complex in eastern Nepal, with a particular emphasis on the Binturong. Through a combination of field surveys, camera trapping, and community engagement, we aimed to:
- Document Biodiversity: Identify and document the presence and abundance of small carnivore species in the region.
- Conservation Awareness: Educate local communities and students about the importance of small carnivores and their role in the ecosystem.
- Community Engagement: Empower local communities to participate in conservation efforts and protect their natural heritage.
By shedding light on these often overlooked creatures, we hope to contribute to their conservation and the preservation of the region’s biodiversity.
