It is already 2073 in my country. However, the festivities of 2016 has caught on the world. So, I decided to have a look back at my 2016. It was a great year for me. Travelled a lot. Learnt a lot. Like all optimistic out in the world, I had some resolutions for 2016. Here I share my resolutions I had made for 2016 and how well I fared them. My resolutions were

1. Complete my Master’s dissertation: As a true master procrastinator, I finalized my draft report towards the end of December. I am waiting for my defense date now.
2. Travel Khaptad-Rara-Dhorpatan route: I had this desire to travel this route for few years. So, as a resolution for 2016, I thought why not this route! I made it to Khaptad National Park and Rara National Park. Dhorpatan is still on my bucket list.
3. Write ten proposals: I am new to the world of writing proposals and getting grants for researches and projects. I made this resolution to write at least ten proposals in 2016. I wrote one.

All in all, it was a super year. Mostly towards the end, I caught my momentum. Submitted my thesis in university. Got super motivated. Didn’t even realize the year was ending. Already a year gone by.

A new list for 2017. Yup, I need a new one even though the last one is still pretty much incomplete. I am adding these to my to-do list for 2017

1. Rock climbing: I have been meaning to learn this skill for 10 years. Waited long enough to find friends who want to join. I will do it alone.
2. Master cycling: I get nervous when I ride cycles in roads. I bumped into a child when I was myself a child and haven’t got over the fear. I will this year.
3. Write blogs at least once a month: I don’t blog often. I want to change this. So this year, I am determined to add at least 12 blogs, one for every month at least.

Three new resolutions. I would have added some more but they are not entirely up to me. What are your resolutions? I hope you will have great 2017.
