Khotang, a remote district in eastern Nepal, is home to the critically endangered Chinese pangolin. Threatened by habitat loss, poaching, and development, this elusive creature needs urgent conservation action.
Our Project Aims to:
- Empower Local Communities: Train local communities to monitor pangolin populations and combat illegal wildlife trade.
- Protect Critical Habitats: Identify and safeguard vital pangolin habitats through camera trapping and habitat surveys.
- Raise Awareness: Educate the public about the importance of pangolins and the threats they face.
- Engage Youth: Establish eco-clubs in schools to inspire young people to become conservation champions.
By working closely with local communities, we aim to create a sustainable future for the Chinese pangolin and its habitat.
